Materialism: Reconnecting with Raw Materials through Art and Deconstruction Studio Dirft: ''Materialism is an ongoing research project where I explore the everyday “made objects” that surround us. By investigating and deconstructing these objects, I examine the human relationship with raw materials. These materials represent a dialogue—our interaction with the earth's resources through creation and consumption''. Below is an old-school Nintendo, which I created in 3D. The modeling process involved careful attention to detail to ensure photorealism. Subtle traces of use, such as realistic fading in the plastic material, by layering different colors beneath the surface. I added finger marks and black worn stripes to simulate the wear that create over time. This attention to detail helps bring the model to life. Software used: Blender (Octane), Substance Painter, Substance Designer, Photoshop.
